Communicate what a polygenic risk score can and cannot say.
A polygenic score is a comparison, not a verdict. It aggregates many variants associated with a trait, then places a person somewhere on a distribution. Relative Is Not Absolute A high score can mean higher risk than a reference group, but it does not automatically say what will happen to a specific person or when. Population Fit Matters Many genomic studies have historically overrepresented people of European ancestry. A score trained on one population can perform worse in another, creating equity and accuracy risks.
