Keep a press release centered on one claim that the headline, lede, quote, and proof all support.
A press release is not a storage bin for every good thing happening at the company. Headline and lede These set the claim. They should not compete with each other. Quote A good quote adds meaning, stakes, or interpretation. It should not introduce a second story. Proof Stats, customer evidence, timing, and context exist to defend the same angle. When proof points pull in different directions, the release feels padded rather than sharp. Boilerplate discipline Background belongs in the boilerplate. News belongs in the body. Mixing the two makes the release feel promotional.
