Run a premortem that converts event anxiety into concrete prevention actions.
The premortem is a practical antidote to event optimism. Event teams often know the weak points, but they soften them in group settings: 'We should keep an eye on check-in' or 'Weather might be a thing.' Those phrases do not create action. In a premortem, you state that the event has failed and ask everyone to explain why. That framing changes the conversation. A coordinator can name the badge queue.
