Evidence is visual proof. Decoration is visual surface. The audience may appreciate both, but only evidence advances the argument. Evidence answers 'how do you know?' A chart, screenshot, timeline, quote, comparison, or annotated workflow can prove a claim. It gives the audience something inspectable. Decoration answers 'does this look finished?' Icons, background photos, texture, and generic illustrations can help a brand feel, but they often add noise. Use them only when they clarify the message.
