One Assertion Per Slide

Write slide titles as assertions supported by visual evidence.

Assertion plus evidence is the cleanest slide design test: can the audience read the title and know the point, then look at the visual and see why it is true? Topic titles hide the decision 'Roadmap' or 'Financials' tells the audience the category. It does not tell them the conclusion. In an executive room, hidden conclusions create interruptions because leaders have to ask, 'What am I looking at?' Assertions focus attention A sentence title gives the audience a claim.
