Do not diagnose flow with one clock. Lead Time Lead time is what the customer feels. It includes work, waiting, rework, batching, and delay between handoffs. Cycle Time Cycle time is the work content of a step. It helps you see whether a step is genuinely overloaded or merely blamed because work waits there. Percent Complete and Accurate Percent complete and accurate tests handoff quality. Low quality at handoff creates hidden rework that inflates lead time downstream.
