RICE Is a Debate Tool, Not a Spreadsheet

Use RICE scores to surface and challenge prioritization assumptions.

Principle: RICE earns trust when it makes uncertainty visible. The Four Factors Reach asks how many customers or events are affected in a defined time period. Impact asks how much the initiative moves the target outcome for each affected person. Confidence discounts weak evidence. Effort divides the benefit by the cost of the work.
