Identify the critical path in a publishing schedule with dependent tasks.
A deadline is controlled by dependencies, not by the task getting the most attention. Build the chain Start with the release milestone and work backward. What must be finished immediately before it? What must be finished before that? This exposes the path of work that controls the date.
