Separate exploration from the report people trust
Use Quarto to turn analysis code and narrative into a reproducible report.
A trusted report should be rerendered, not remembered. The mechanism Quarto supports reproducible computational documents by keeping narrative, code, outputs, parameters, and citations in one renderable source. The mechanism is coupling: the chart in the report is generated by the code directly above or referenced by the document, not pasted from a transient session. For R analysts, this changes the trust model. A stakeholder can request a changed assumption, and you can rerender the whole artifact rather than manually syncing screenshots, tables, and prose.
