Use SBII to keep a strained relationship from becoming a private story.
The rapport lesson SBI / SBII works because it keeps rapport from collapsing into a debate about character. Situation, Behavior, and Impact give both people shared facts before anyone argues intent. The added Intent inquiry matters for rapport: it leaves room for the other person to explain what they meant while still acknowledging the effect of what happened.
