Versioning Is Time Diversity
Explain why versioning is different from replication or sync.
The reframe: a copy protects place; a version protects time. Replication and sync are useful, but they can preserve the wrong state perfectly. If a blank forecast, encrypted image, or bad import becomes the current file, a replica may only give you another copy of the bad current file. Versioning keeps older states, so the team can choose the moment before the damage. The mechanism Versioning changes overwrite behavior.
