Record Design System Decisions Before They Become Folklore

Write a lightweight decision record for a design-system change that captures context, decision, status, and consequences.

Principle: Treat design-system decisions as durable product knowledge, not meeting residue. Context before preference A good decision record starts by naming the forces in tension. For a component, that might be accessibility, brand tone, mobile behavior, analytics instrumentation, or migration cost. The point is not to defend a favorite answer.
