Summarize Without Closing the Door

Use a summary that gathers key meaning and invites correction before action.

Summaries are reflections at meeting scale. Gather the threads A useful summary names the major concerns without ranking them too early. It should include facts, stakes, and any tension that remains. Invite correction End with a checking question: What am I missing? What would you change in that summary? This keeps the summary from becoming a verdict. Then move to action Only after the group recognizes the summary should you propose next steps. Otherwise the action plan may solve the facilitator's version of the problem, not the room's version.
