Use evidence gates to explain why roadmap items move between now, next, and later.

The reframe: roadmap movement should be governed by evidence, not volume. A roadmap that never changes is usually dishonest. A roadmap that changes without a clear rule is exhausting. Evidence gates solve the middle problem by giving stakeholders a predictable reason an item moves closer to or farther from commitment. Promotion gates A promotion gate answers: what must we learn before this deserves tighter coordination? Common gates include validated customer pain, measurable outcome target, feasible technical path, commercial urgency, or dependency readiness.
