Run a Premortem Before the Pitch
Use a premortem to identify and reduce pitch risks before committing resources.
The goal is not to dampen pitch energy. It is to keep the energy aimed at a winnable plan. Start with the failure headline Ask: 'It is two weeks after the presentation and we lost. What happened?' The forced future date stops the team from debating whether failure is possible and moves them into evidence. Name causes, not anxieties A weak risk sounds like 'client confusion.'
