Protect principal time with urgent versus important
Prioritize a school administrator workload by separating urgency from importance.
The move: decide by consequence, not by volume. The Eisenhower matrix is useful for school leaders because the job is interruption-heavy. It asks two questions. Is this urgent? Is this important? Urgent means time-sensitive. Important means meaningful to the school's core promises: safety, learning, trust, legal compliance, staff capacity, and student belonging.
