Give staff feedback with SBI, not labels
Use the SBI feedback structure to address a school staff behavior without drifting into blame or vague judgment.
The move: describe the moment before you describe the meaning. SBI gives school leaders a clean structure for feedback that can otherwise feel personal. Start with the Situation: a specific time, place, class period, duty post, meeting, email, or family interaction. Then name the Behavior: what the staff member said, did, skipped, submitted, or changed. Finish with Impact: the effect on students, learning time, safety, team workload, family trust, or compliance.
