Done Means Usable, Not Nearly Finished

Explain how Definition of Done improves transparency and stakeholder trust.

Definition of Done is the quality transparency layer in Scrum. It defines when an Increment is actually usable and prevents "almost done" from polluting forecasts, reviews, and stakeholder trust. If Done is vague, the team can complete tickets while carrying hidden testing, integration, documentation, compliance, or release risk. That debt then reappears as spillover, defects, and emergency hardening. The Scrum Master's job is not to write the Definition of Done alone.
