A shrink huddle is a control test, not a blame session. Start With Facts Name category, units, dollars, time window, and known incidents. Avoid adjectives like careless, shady, or obvious. Open Three Hypotheses External theft: what behavior or physical evidence points outside? Internal theft: what access or transaction pattern points inside? Process failure: what handoff could have moved units incorrectly? Assign One Test Pick a narrow control for the next two or three days.
