Perform handrub with deliberate coverage of high-miss surfaces and rubbing until dry.
A clinician uses handrub often, but UV gel shows missed thumbs and fingertips after routine rubbing. Enough product -> all surfaces -> friction -> rub until dry The common shortcut is palm-to-palm rubbing followed by touching equipment while thumbs, fingertips, and backs of fingers received little or no product.
