Shrink Input Chaos With Equivalence Classes

Use equivalence partitioning to choose representative valid and invalid test cases.

A representative test is stronger than ten redundant tests from the same class. Equivalence partitioning cuts test design down to behavior groups. If the system treats ages 18 through 120 the same way, you do not need 103 separate age tests to prove the basic rule. You need representative values from each meaningful class: valid adult ages, underage values, impossible high values, empty or non-numeric values, and maybe formatted inputs if the UI allows them.
