The move: retire the magic tell. A single behavior is not a lie detector. Looking away, pausing, fidgeting, smiling oddly, or touching the face can be caused by many things. The safer question is not "What does that gesture mean?" It is "What changed from this person's baseline, what does the statement omit, and what can we verify?" Use three gates.
