SLI, SLO, SLA at Your Fingertips

Recall and apply the difference between SLI, SLO, and SLA.

What is an SLI? A service level indicator: the measurement of a user-relevant service behavior. Example: percentage of valid API requests served successfully under 300 ms. What is an SLO? A service level objective: the target for an SLI over a defined window. Example: 99.5% of valid requests under 300 ms over 28 days. Leadership says: 'Make the SLO 100% so the team takes reliability seriously.' Your line A 100% SLO says no change or failure is acceptable.
