Use SCQA as a pre-writing structure for a clear, action-oriented status update.
A status update needs a point, not just a pile of true things. The Teach SCQA gives every detail a job. Situation creates shared ground. Complication changes that ground. Question exposes the decision, uncertainty, or tension. Answer states the move you recommend or the status judgment you want accepted. Use it before you write. Do not start by polishing sentences. Start by asking: what did the audience believe before this update, what changed, what question does that create, and what answer am I putting forward? Once those four lines are clear, BLUF becomes easy because the answer is already visible.…
