Make Admin Services Measurable
Create an internal SLI and SLO that measures user-visible administration service quality.
Internal IT services deserve explicit promises. Start by naming the user journey: a new hire starts, a manager requests access, a file must be restored, a conference room must work, or a critical vulnerability must be patched. Then ask what success looks like from the user side. A useful SLI has an event, a quality threshold, and a measurement window. For restores: "percentage of restore requests for tier-2 file shares completed with requester validation within four business hours."
