Build a Restore Runbook from RTO and RPO

Translate RTO and RPO into concrete restore runbook steps and validation evidence.

Restore a corrupted warehouse database so pickers can ship orders by 10 a.m. with no more than 30 minutes of data loss. RTO/RPO-backward restore planning: start with business requirement, pick a qualifying recovery point, restore safely, validate dependencies, and get user acceptance. The common trap is declaring success when the database restore command completes. That can miss identity, DNS, application pools, printers, integrations, or user permissions that make the restored data usable.
