Commitment Needs Closure, Not Consensus
Close team decisions in a way that creates commitment without pretending everyone agrees.
Consensus is optional; clarity is not. Many teams lose commitment because the ending of the meeting is softer than the decision requires. Heard, then clear People do not need their preferred option to win every time. They do need evidence that their concern was understood before the final call. That is where psychological safety and productive conflict meet commitment. After dissent is heard, close hard. State the decision in concrete language. State why the team chose it. Assign one owner.
