A consistent Terraform style guide is an operations aid. It makes resource addresses easier to scan, plans easier to review, and future state operations less ambiguous. Use automated formatting first, then reserve human review for naming, structure, and whether the code expresses the intended architecture. The common trap is treating style as a personal preference; in shared infrastructure, style is shared risk reduction.
