Sequence the Room With Gagne

A trainer explains a new facilitator debrief model, then asks learners to run a debrief cold. Gagne's events sequence attention, objective, recall, stimulus, guidance, performance, feedback, assessment, and transfer so learners are not asked to perform unsupported. The common shortcut is explain-then-test: learners hear the model but never connect it to prior practice or receive guided feedback before assessment.
