Turn Discovery Into Business Impact

Use SPIN questions to develop buyer pain into quantified business impact and desired payoff.

SPIN is a discipline for moving beyond basic qualification. Situation questions tell you the environment. Problem questions reveal pain. Implication questions make the pain matter. Need-payoff questions let the buyer describe the value of change. The common trap is stopping at problem discovery. A buyer says reporting is slow, handoffs are messy, or managers lack visibility. The rep immediately shows a dashboard. The buyer has not yet connected the pain to a business consequence, so the feature is merely relevant, not urgent.
