Unity Without Fake Familiarity

Use unity and liking by naming real shared commitments rather than forcing artificial rapport.

Unity is not pretending there are no boundaries; it is naming the outcome that spans them. The common trap Forced closeness sounds warm to the speaker and coercive to the listener. It asks the other person to ignore their duty. The better move Name the shared stake, then acknowledge the other person's role. That protects ethos while still activating unity. The frame Use a belonging frame, not a loyalty-test frame. Belonging invites cooperation. Loyalty tests create defensiveness.
