Urgent Is Not the Same as Important
Distinguish urgent work from important work using the Eisenhower matrix.
Pressure is data, not a decision. The two-axis test Urgent work has a deadline, dependency, or visible consequence. Important work advances a goal, protects a relationship, reduces risk, or fulfills your role. A task can be both, either, or neither. Confusing the axes creates reactive days.
