Translate an enterprise goal into IT-related goals, governance objectives, and evidence using COBIT thinking.
Do not start with the control. Start with the business goal it protects or enables. COBIT helps governance teams avoid a common trap: building a control catalog that is technically impressive but strategically disconnected. Its goals cascade forces a chain from enterprise objectives to IT-related goals, then to governance and management objectives, practices, metrics, and evidence.
