Design metadata filters as part of retrieval intent, not as a UI-only constraint.
The move: model filters as part of the answer, not decoration around it. Metadata filters narrow vector search to records that satisfy explicit conditions. In a professional system, those conditions are often the difference between useful and dangerous.
