Use Little’s Law to connect warehouse WIP, throughput, and lead time in a queue.
Little’s Law gives a warehouse manager a quick queue reality check: WIP = throughput × lead time. Rearranged, lead time = WIP / throughput. If WIP doubles and throughput stays flat, lead time doubles. Use it for returns, receiving exceptions, putaway carts, replenishment requests, or pack totes.
