Clean a Yield Map With DMAIC
Apply DMAIC to convert yield-map cleanup into a repeatable QA workflow.
The yield map is needed for management-zone design, but headland spikes, stoppage points, and moisture artifacts could distort the recommendation. DMAIC: define the defect, measure its size, analyze source, improve the workflow, and control the standard. The common trap is to hand-clean obvious outliers until the map looks reasonable. That may save the meeting, but it leaves no defect definition, no measurement, and no change to the harvest process that created the bad points.
