Design a first agent workflow with a clear deliverable, tool boundary, and handoff.
Step 1: Name the internal deliverable Choose one artifact the agent can produce reliably, such as an onboarding packet or renewal prep brief. Step 2: Limit tool access to what the artifact needs Give the agent read access to the systems that supply inputs, but hold back external messaging and irreversible updates. Step 3: Define the approval boundary in plain language Write exactly what a human must review, approve, or send before the workflow moves outside the team.
