Worked Example: Rewrite the Complaint
Rewrite a complaint into observation, feeling, need, and request with explicit reasoning at each step.
Draft message: "You dumped this on me at the last minute again and made me look stupid." Observation → feeling → need → request turns a hot complaint into a message someone can respond to without guessing. The original draft bundles three things together: an accusation about intent, a global pattern claim, and a conclusion about personal humiliation.
