Start with the shape, not the story. A JSON payload can be large, nested, and business-heavy, but the parser only recognizes a tiny vocabulary. The legal values are object, array, string, number, boolean, and null. Objects group named members. Arrays preserve ordered values. Strings must be double-quoted text.
