Keep the Scent When You Shorten
Rewrite titles, snippets, and thumbnails so shortened assets still signal what value they deliver.
Shortening removes context. Information scent puts enough context back into the cue so the right person keeps going. Cue The cue is what someone sees before they commit: title, thumbnail, first line, preview text, or link label. It should signal the real destination. Expectation Every cue creates a promise. If the asset delivers a different answer than the cue suggests, the audience spends trust.
