01Overview
A cookie is just a small note a website leaves in your browser. We use the fewest we can. Some sign you in, some remember your language, and none follow you around the web.

02What we actually set .
Three small categories, and that is all. One is required for Omie to work, the other two are yours to turn off.
| Category | What it does | Examples | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Signs you in and keeps your session secure. Omie cannot run without these, so there is nothing to switch off. | Session, login, and security (CSRF) tokens | Always on |
| Preferences | Remembers small choices so the app feels like yours the next time you open it. | Language, and light or dark theme | Optional |
| Analytics | Aggregate product usage so we can see which screens to fix and improve. Never tied to advertising. | PostHog, Vercel Analytics | Optional |
No advertising, no cross-site tracking.
We set no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking pixels. Omie does not build ad profiles, does not follow you onto other websites, and never sells your data. The analytics we do keep are aggregate and about the product, not about who you are.
03You stay in control .
Two ways to manage cookies. Both take seconds, and Omie keeps working either way.
In Omie
Open Settings, then Privacy, and turn Analytics off with one switch. Preferences save automatically as you use the app, and the strictly necessary cookies stay because signing you in depends on them.
In your browser
Every browser can block or clear cookies from its privacy settings. Clearing them signs you out and resets your language and theme, then Omie sets the necessary ones again the next time you log in.
This works the same on the web app and the mobile app, since it is one account across both.
asked and answered
04Plain answers , no small print.
The questions people actually ask about cookies, answered without the legalese.
No. We do not sell your data and we never have. Cookies are used to run the product and understand it in aggregate, not to package you up for anyone else.
No. There are no advertising cookies, no retargeting pixels, and no cross-site trackers on Omie. You will not see an Omie ad chasing you around the internet, because we do not set the cookies that make that possible.
Yes. Analytics is optional. Turn it off in Settings, Privacy, or block cookies in your browser. Everything you need to learn keeps working, and your path, streak, and mastery are unaffected.
They are static images of the real app, nothing more. They do not track you, load third-party scripts, or set cookies. This marketing site stays deliberately light, so browsing it leaves almost no trace.
Cookies are one small part of how we handle your data. For the full picture, read our Privacy policy .
the short version
05That is the whole cookie story .
The fewest cookies we can, all in plain language, and none that follow you around the web. If a page ever asks for more than this, assume it is a mistake and tell us.
