01In a nutshell
These terms govern your use of Omie. By signing up, you agree to them. If you're using Omie on behalf of a company, you're agreeing on its behalf and you have the authority to do so.
If you don't agree with something here, talk to us. We negotiate Master Service Agreements on Enterprise plans, and we're reasonable.
02Your account, your responsibility
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe. Tell us at hello@tryomie.com right away if you think your account has been accessed without your permission. You also won't share a single account between multiple humans, individual seats are individual.
03What you can't do on Omie
- Resell access to your seats without a written reseller agreement.
- Scrape or crawl our product to build a competing service.
- Use Omie to send spam , harass other users, or upload anything illegal.
- Reverse-engineer the adaptive engine to extract proprietary content .
04Money, simply
Subscription fees are billed in advance, monthly or annually. Renewals are automatic until you cancel. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We don't pro-rate monthly plans, but annual plans get a one-time 30-day money-back guarantee.
05Your content stays yours
Anything you upload to Omie (notes, content authored in Studio, custom nuggets) belongs to you. We get a limited license to host it and show it back to your users. We will not train our models on your content. Ever.
06Liability, capped
To the extent the law allows, our total liability under these terms is capped at the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect damages (lost profits, lost data) except where the law says we have to be.
07Changes & termination
We may update these terms with 30 days' notice for material changes. You may terminate any time. We may terminate accounts that violate the acceptable-use list, with a fair warning where possible.
08Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes go to the courts of Amsterdam, unless your local law forbids that, in which case your local courts apply.
09What we collect
Just enough to make Omie work and to know whether it's working. Three buckets:
- Account data: name, work email, your manager's email if your company set you up, your role.
- Learning data: the nuggets you complete, your answers, the time you spent, the patterns we detect.
- Device data: browser, OS, anonymized IP. We use this to ship product reliably, nothing else.
10How we use it
We use your data to personalize the learning experience, to roll up team-level analytics for your admins, and to make the product better. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
11Who else sees it
Only the people who need to: our infrastructure providers (AWS, Stripe, Vercel), a small set of analytics partners listed on our sub-processor page, and your company's named admins. Each one has a contract that constrains what they can do with the data.
12How long we keep it
Active accounts: as long as you're a customer. Deleted accounts: 30 days for soft-deletion, then permanently erased except where law requires us to keep tax records. Aggregated, fully anonymized usage data may be retained indefinitely.
13Your rights
You can access, correct, delete or export your data at any time from Account → Privacy. See the GDPR page for the full list and how to exercise each.
14Cookies , briefly
We use a small set of cookies, listed in full on the cookie notice . You can switch the non-essential ones off at any time.
