What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file your browser stores on your device when you visit a website. We use cookies (and a few similar technologies like localStorage) to remember you between visits, keep you logged in, and understand which parts of our product are actually useful.
You're always in control. You can clear cookies at any time from your browser settings, or use the toggle in our cookie banner.
Cookies we set, in full
We group cookies into three categories. Only the first category is required for the site to work.
| Cookie | Category | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| omie_session | Essential | Keeps you logged in across page loads. | Session |
| csrf_token | Essential | Protects forms from cross-site request forgery. | Session |
| cc_prefs | Essential | Stores your cookie preferences so we don't ask again. | 12 months |
| _omie_ph | Analytics | Anonymous product analytics (PostHog). Pseudonymized. | 13 months |
| _ga | Analytics | Google Analytics 4. IP-anonymized, no cross-site tracking. | 13 months |
| _omie_attrib | Marketing | Lets us know which campaign brought you to omie.ai. | 30 days |
| _li_fc | Marketing | LinkedIn conversion pixel, fires only on signup. | 180 days |
How to switch them off
- Use our cookie banner on first visit, or open Account → Privacy any time.
- Clear cookies from your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Arc all have a one-click option).
- Send us an email at [email protected] and we'll do it on our side too.
One thing worth knowingIf you turn off essential cookies, the product literally cannot keep you signed in. We don't have a workaround for that, sorry.
Changes to this notice
If we change anything material, we'll bump the "last updated" date at the top and post a note in the product. The current version is dated 14 May 2026.
